Privacy policy

Last updated: .

This policy covers product enquiries, resource requests, contact forms and career introductions submitted through this website.

Who is responsible

The data controller is iQrypto SRL, registered at Rue Emile Vandervelde 237, 7000 Mons, Belgium, company / VAT number BE0777638706. For privacy requests, email hello@iqrypto.com or write to that address.

Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, company (optional for a Careers enquiry), email, optional phone number, interest area, request, topic, timeline, use case, message, and your consent to be contacted. The form also records the source page.

The form also records the referring page (origin and path only, without its query string or fragment) and UTM source, medium and campaign values when present. Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information through the form.

Netlify provides website hosting, content delivery and security services. It processes request information, including IP addresses, for those services, operational logs and rate limiting.

Netlify Forms uses Akismet, operated by Automattic, to detect spam in submissions. See Netlify's spam-filtering information and subprocessor list for details.

Why we use it and the legal basis

We use the information you submit to respond to your request, provide requested material, and assess the partnership or career introduction you choose to send. The form asks for your consent to this processing and contact about the request, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw that consent by emailing us; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Providing information is voluntary, but the required fields are needed to handle a form enquiry. You can also use the email link to contact us. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. The website does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Who receives enquiry information

Enquiries are intended for iQrypto SRL staff handling the request. Submissions are collected and stored using Netlify Forms and are available to authorised users of the iQrypto Netlify project. If configured, Netlify sends enquiry notifications to the recipients set by iQrypto.

Website enquiries are currently handled through Netlify Forms and our business email. If we introduce an additional CRM provider, we will update this notice to identify that provider and its role.

Email sent to hello@iqrypto.com is routed through Microsoft's email services. If you use an email fallback link, your mail application opens a draft. The email is sent only when you send it, and your email provider also processes it.

Optional website analytics

Google Analytics 4 is separate from form processing and loads only after your analytics consent. It processes visit information, device/browser information and events such as social clicks and completed enquiry forms. Google receives your IP address as part of the connection and uses it to derive approximate location, such as country or city. Our own event parameters exclude names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, message text and URL query strings. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in the website configuration.

The legal basis for optional analytics is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Rejecting analytics does not prevent enquiries. Use Cookie settings in the footer to withdraw consent. See the cookie policy for storage details and Google's privacy policy for its processing.

Optional video playback

YouTube / Google provides the embedded videos on About, Careers and Workplace. Until you choose Play via YouTube, the previews are served by iQrypto and no YouTube player or thumbnail connection is made. Choosing to play enables that one video and allows Google to receive your IP address, browser information and our page's origin. Google may use cookies or other storage and process data internationally under its privacy policy.

The legal basis for enabling this optional external media is your consent through that play control, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. It is separate from analytics and enquiry consent. Close video removes the player and stops playback; it cannot erase data already received by Google. Your video choice is not stored by the website and resets on a new page load. See video privacy details.

How long we keep enquiry information

  • Business enquiries: we normally retain product, engineering, partnership and general enquiries that do not become active customer records for up to 24 months after our last substantive two-way contact.
  • Recruitment: we normally retain unsuccessful applications and career introductions for up to 6 months after the recruitment process ends, or after our last substantive contact where no specific process exists.

Automated follow-ups do not extend these periods. We delete or anonymise records under our control when the applicable period ends. These rules cover enquiry records and working copies, including related email correspondence.

If an enquiry becomes a customer or employment relationship, the relevant records are managed under the retention arrangements for that relationship. Limited information may be kept longer where a specific legal obligation or legal claim requires it. Provider backups and operational logs are managed under the providers' applicable terms and deletion processes.

International processing and safeguards

Our cloud providers operate internationally. Website, enquiry, email, optional video playback and optional analytics information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The provider information below describes their processing arrangements and locations.

The providers' applicable data-processing terms describe the safeguards for international transfers, including European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, adequacy frameworks such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See the Netlify processing terms, Netlify subprocessor information and Microsoft processing terms and Google's transfer information. You can contact hello@iqrypto.com for further information about the applicable safeguards and copies where available.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can request access, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, and data portability where applicable. You can object where processing relies on legitimate interests or is for direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR.

To exercise your rights, contact hello@iqrypto.com. We may need information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in the EEA country where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.
